About the artwork / The inspiration
Icarus refers to the figure in Greek mythology who flew too close to the sun with wings of wax and feathers but could survive by landing on the Lines of Nazca, situated in Peru. The lines show a kolibri, a small bird, that is able to stay in the air like a helicopter.
