About the artwork / The inspiration
The red planet Mars generates endless suppositions about possibilities once you live there as human beings. The family on the backside of this triptych is living in a world of ambitions and aspirations . The son is fascinated, the father is enthusiastic, and the mother is careful. The opened triptych shows the devilish outcome, filled with fear and uncertainty, shared by mother and son, while father is running as fast as he can to become rich.
Artistic Techniques & Materials
The backside (closed) and the front side are painted in the complementary colors blue and orange. The front side is partly painted in a sand-colored structure and has many slices and stones.
